Sixty years later...
A Jewish teenager has been stabbed in the chest on Friday afternoon while he was going out of a Jewish denominational establishment in Epinay-sur-Seine (Seine St-Denis). Seriously wounded, he was carried to the Clichy hospital and placed in reanimation.
According to testimonies, the person who attacked him around 4 pm yelled "Allah is great!" while stabbing him.
But the danger is not here. It is there.
Can anyone remind me the last time someone stabbed anyone while yelling "Bush is great!"? I will avoid Paris tomorrow, just in case those demonstrators defy the bans. I wouldn't want to create a precedent.
Posted by Carine at June 4, 2004 08:22 PMI'm sure that the assailant is distressed by how far acts like these are from the peaceful tenets of Islam. It's not his fault though, it's the darn Vichy.
You see, I hear that Islam is a religion like any other, and puts special emphasis on peace. I look around the world though, and I don't see taoists engaged in the persecution of hindus. I don't see buddhists using "humiliation" as justification for the wanton indiscriminate murder of civillians. I don't see anyone exploding in crowded markets with the name of Jesus on their lips. However, I'm just a poor, uncultured, ignorant Murkin. How can I ever possibly hope to understand.

Thanks for the link. I wonder what happened to Chirac's big plan against anti-Semitism. While things appear to get worse everyday, people continue to bury their head in the sand.
I accidentally found this site while searching for the words 'city of light' (ahem) in Google.
If we are to believe the opening statement, Islam is not a religion of peace but the religion of 'peaceful submission to God', which is quite different from what we are constantly told and appears to be closer to the reality:
Qur'an proclaims aloud a wake up call for all the people to stop idolizing their messengers such as Mohammad and Jesus and do not elevate them to rank with GOD. GOD sent one religion and that is the religion of "Peaceful Submission to GOD". This is the literal meaning of Islam. . .
Now I understand why looking for the words 'city of light' led to the religion of 'peaceful submission'.
Any deviation from GOD's commandment will bring misery in this world and especially in the hereafter where the misery is everlasting. We are telling you that this is a mathematically proven message from GOD well beyond human capability, and disobedience of GOD's message and rejection of His Proofs will bring GOD's wrath upon the disbelievers. Remember what happened to the people of Pharoah. Worship GOD ALONE and abandon what your parents used to worship.
But again, WE are the crusadors, aren't we?
Posted by: Carine at June 5, 2004 10:13 AMIt's kind of odd that all the misery is sort of bunched up over in the muslim world then, isn't it? I mean, the kafir are all relatively euphoric, and they're supposed to be plagued by locusts, or slaves, or something. No wonder the islamikazees chase their tails barking - everything's all backwards from what it's supposed to be, and now they have to invent reasons why.
Uh-oh. Come to think of it, that had better be wrong, or Marxists will start getting fitted for bomb vests any time now! No, wait - they generally don't believe in an afterlife (or virgins), so I guess we're ok. *whew*
Posted by: Doug at June 5, 2004 01:02 PMCarnie, hope you made it through the day, and left the knives at home....
Posted by: andy at June 6, 2004 11:55 AMAndy,
I decided to stay home. I am having problems keeping my cool in front of these people. Same with their marxist French clones.
Posted by: Carine at June 6, 2004 07:26 PMI'd say deport them, but, better still, keep them there.
