A Dog-eat-dog world

Since the French media are very keen on making fun of a now-famous pretzel episode or even a certain bike accident, I was kind of surprised that the following accident wasn't covered more extensively.

A Defense Minister bitten by a dog.

A former Foreign, now Interior Minister, all-time appeasement advocate, UN favorite, doing nothing to help the injured woman...

but surrendering to the dog...

Of course, this time, the accident happened in France.

From Le Journal du Dimanche

Ouch!!!
The bloody animal caught the hand of the Defense Minister that couldn't help crying out with pain. Rooted to the spot, her colleague of the Interior [Ministry], Dominique de Villepin, didn't show off. Immediately treated, Michèle Alliot-Marie, who was visiting, on Friday, the security apparatus developped for the celebrations of the D-Day in Arromanches, had to finish her inspection with her hand in a bandage.

Poor police dog. Doing one's job can sometimes be a dog's life. Having to teethe on an old trout. Someone should call PETA.

Can someone tell if the dog is a German sheperd btw?

There's another, better picture there. Except that we can't see Dom Le Vaillant.

YES! An anti-French dog among the ranks of police dogs!

There may still be hope for la France!

Dare I hope that this beau spécimen of the canine race be pro-US to boot?

Well, that doesn't much look like a proper German Shepard.

It looks like a big weasel in an orange day-glow training bra.

Dom ("The Man™") de Villepin (thinking): "Stupeed swinehund ! 'e vas zeepost to bite ze Bush !"

Michèle ("Ministerial Action Toy") Alliot-Marie (thinking): "Vous, chienne ! Vous êtes censé mordre de Villepin ! "

Dogs can pick out the cull from the herd usually . This one must be defective seeing how it didn't bite Dominque.

Hey, if no one had stopped the leetle doggie from doing his will, he most certainly would have had Dom for dessert!
