3 wise men...uh, huh

Khadafi proposes the following:

Kadhafi...wants the establishment of a "committee of wise men" to settle the world's conflicts and called on the United Nations to pass a resolution in support of his idea, Shalghem said.

The committee would be comprised of three former presidents -- Clinton of the United States, Mikhail Gorbachev of the now-defunct Soviet Union and Nelson Mandela from South Africa.

All world leaders approve of the proposal, Shalghem said.

Now, this time, I really did hurt myself falling out of my chair. (Thankfully, my pajamas broke the fall.) All world leaders, eh. Looks like he's been reading you-know-who's playbook. Get it? Global test?

In the same article:

...Kadhafi's future ideas would be posted on the Libyan leader's website, www.algathafi.org.

The site offers suggestions for solving some of the world's thorniest conflicts, including the creation of a unified state of Israel and Palestine to be called "Isratine."

Isratine. It's a lot like the tabloid shortenings of famous pairs, you know, Bennifer for Ben and Jennifer, isn't it.

There's even more. An interesting view of the UN General Assembly, for one. Read it here.

WOW, how soon before Castro comes out with something like this!

The committee would be comprised of three former presidents

Could a former "dictator" be thrown in with that crew, ummm, maybe Saddam?

M. Kadhafi keeps on amusing us with your "ideas" rather than your former "terrorist acts". M. Kadhafi becomes a harmless clown in international affairs and I love it. But always a dictator in his country!

What do you expect from someone who dresses like a doorman from the Roxy and can't get higher in rank than Colonel, even though he rules the whole country?

What's even more amusing and silly, is that Germany has spent the past five years bucking for a permanent seat on the UN Security Council. I guess that spit on the end of asia called Europe really IS the world - and they're trying to construct their own majority of influence on it...
