Getting out the vote in Iraq

Watch here.

Of course, the un (they don't deserve capital letters anymore) are always capable of a little mauvaise foi when it comes to Americans doing just about anything without them.

Wow. The un bumped up their Iraqi election staff from 35 all the way up to 40. Go un. Because you know that when you need to introduce democracy to a country, you should involve a body that knows so much about holding successful elections. You know, like the un, because they've orchestrated such successful electoral outcomes as Cambodia in the past.

(good call on revoking their capital letters)

Yeah, can you see how incredibly handy the extra 5 employees would be in a country, say, the size of Iraq?

The un out of the USA (which will always be in capitals)!

I'm guessing the only reason they added five people is because 5 more 5 star rooms recently became available (or maybe five more limos finally arrived).

So, helping to get out the vote, our BRAVE servicemen are rounding up some high level terrorists, such as al-Kurdi on January 15, followed by 2 more yesterday.

After al-Kurdi was captured a special-ops terrorist-hunter was quoted as saying "These dirtbags...when caught..squeal like pigs and give up their 'brothers'." Don’t you just love those special ops guys?

I wonder how much squealing al-Kurdi did and if it got the other 2 captured.

Jay:

I like the way you think...

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am at a total loss to explain the absence of Jimmy Carter and Jesse Jackson from the Iraqi elections. HOW can the un can expect any democratic election to be legitimate without them? UNthinkable.
Hard to believe either would pass up this opportunity to get some face time on CNN.
