NYC Letter: French Babies Not Human Life
FRENCH COURT REJECTS 'HOMICIDE' OF UNBORN FOETUS
A French appeals court on Thursday ruled that an unborn foetus does not constitute a human life under the law, refusing to recognise the killing of a pregnant woman as a double homicide. ... the appeal judge confirmed the lower court ruling, which was in line with French legal precedent, that only a single person had been killed.
Just what does the enceinte French woman carry?
We have commented elsewhere on the high legal principles and low legal thinking about the unborn in Europe. Then again, who bothers with the law in Europe?

She was with child. Such a waste. - the American CSI said when coming upon the gruesome scene.
Notion sentimentale de Rediculous cela. Elle a été simplement atteinte d'un foetus. Pas intéressant noter, parce qu'il est évident elle n'a pas succombé au parasite. - quipped the Franch inspector.
