Throw a 'Flush a Newsweek' party tonight

Thanks to Doug.

Newsweek magazine said on Sunday it erred in a May 9 report that U.S. interrogators desecrated the Koran at Guantanamo Bay, and apologized to the victims of deadly Muslim protests sparked by the article.

Editor Mark Whitaker said the magazine inaccurately reported that U.S. military investigators had confirmed that personnel at the detention facility in Cuba had flushed the Muslim holy book down the toilet.

Any chance we could ship the Newsweek top brass over to Afganistan so as to explain the little oopsie in person?

I am thinking class action lawsuit. It is illegal to yell fire in a crowded movie house. There were over 100 casualties, 16 reported fatalities. Survivors and next of ken are entitled to ... (I want to say compensation, but how can you compensate for a life snuffed out?) how about damages?

Know any lawyers who want to make a name for themselves?
Heck this is movie of the week stuff right here. Win the big case, slapping back at our domestic enemy, and serving justice in a noble cause to boot.

Is it illegal to yell "infidel" in a crowded mosque?

Good question.

In France, I'd bet it could be considered as incitation to religious and/or racial hatred, which is forbidden.
