Still in the merde

Yet another campaign has been launched in Paris to try to have dog owners and other litter lovers clean up their mess. The campaign is suggesting that since they wouldn't do that at home, they shouldn't do it in Paris either which is home, too.

Huh... what if Parisians actually, already do just like at home? I've once visited an apartment that looked quite similar to the third poster.

You wouldn't do that at home? Well, Paris is home!

Apparently the tasteful Bliss symbol, a simple text proscription, or a radio PSA are not sufficient to excite civic virtue in the French. No, they require something at once both slick and tasteless. This will get their attention. But it won't attenuate the sh*t fields of Paris by one turdy tittle.

Easier to art direct glamour shots of détritus, déjections animales, encombrants hors d’usage and encourage a sewer and trash aesthetic. There. You see, that is no longer nasty déjection canine, it is stylish poster art.

Sounds like you visited the home of my former roommate. He never mentioned he was French.

When did you visit my home? I live in Florida.

My place would certainly never look like that - the cigs would be smoked to the butt and leftover pizza? No such thing.

Good to hear, I remember back in the 80's when the city of lights smelled like crap, it was truly disgusting. After they cleaned up their act it was amazing. So enjoyable to go back, we went often after the big clean up. Nice to know they are working on it again.
