Russian nostalgia

Like every year, on May 9, Russia celebrated the victory over nazism and fascism marching with... red flags.

Well, Soviet units did carry those red flags to battle. You won't find me saying anything good about the Soviet Union, especially under Stalin; but not to display them would be strange indeed.

I agree, but it seems a lot too many red flags to me. And I guess for most of Eastern Europe too. Plus remember Putin saying that the worst catastrophe of the 20th century was the fall of the Soviet Union, or something to that effect.

Oh, Vladi pines for the good old days of the Cold War. No question about that. However, this time around, we have a crucial advantage: we know how rotten to the core is his vodka-soaked country.
