Who will be the next French president? - II
Another potential presidential hopeful. Weasel alert.
After José Bové, French environmentalist Nicolas Hulot let it be known that he might run for the presidency next year:
"If nothing happens by November, everything is possible. Being a candidate to the presidency is neither my vocation, nor my fantasy. But if the only solution is to cross the red line, I'm not excluding it", he declared in an interview to Journal du Dimanche (JDD) on July 30.Posted by Carine at July 30, 2006 07:56 PMFor Nicolas Hulot, the 2007 presidential election promises to be "very Frenchie, as if everything was decided inside of France", because "we still have to acknowledge the biggest threat ever to humanity: the climate threat".
"Most candidates to the presidential election seem not to care. One has to carefully examine their speeches, books or interviews to find a mere mention of global warming. This is mind-boggling!", he insists, targeting the right as well as the left.
LOL
I can just see the journalists introducing a speech by President Hulot:
Et maintenant, sequence frisson...
