NYC Letter: Crescent Of Shame Reminder

You have till this coming Monday August 14, 2006 to inform the Flight 93 Memorial Project what you think of architect's Paul Murdoch's phony memorial.

Mr. Murdoch has blown off earlier outrage and is re-offering his design with modifications that curiously embellish his original tribute to the hijackers, not the murdered victims.

If you are short on time or short on words, we have drafted text that you can use as is or improve with your indignation.

This design is wholly inappropriate. The Memorial Project has made no substantive changes from last year's earlier design. It has addressed none of the criticisms, primarily the use of a red crescent, that were made at that time. Do not defame the dead victims with this design honoring their killers.
