If only...

Ségolène Royal met with Hizballah leaders, praised China's justice system. Who are Sarkozy's bad relations?

Sarkozy is being persecuted by every medias in France.
Today, even the arrest of a famous criminal, Cesare Battisti, is charged against Sarkozy ! (His arrest is assimilated as a political move)

Does any one have a green card left ?

Yeah, I saw an article this morning, in Libération, titled "Battisti, Sarkozy's victim", or something to that effect.

Poor, poor France.

Well if you ask me Sarkozy is just the less useless of all uselesses. He is no more l'Américain than any other Europeans. His program is full of state interventionism (see Alsthom, Airbus...) and he came back big time on his so called support to the US. So either he has no bone or he is now talking his truth now that Shitraq is out of the race: in either cases he misses the backbone that makes a good American:

Arnaud,
I completely agree. I'm afraid our American friends have too much hope in Sarkozy. I've tried before (notably here and here) to show that Sarkozy was basically an opportunistic socialist who wasn't the solution for France.
But as you point out, he's probably the less useless of all.

Isn't there any one in the French political morass that has a new idea? Rather than staying in the rut,or rather dead-end, of Socialism? The candidates all seem to be variations on the same theme. Hardly a choice at all.

French presidential candidates, idiots - the lot of them! They make Kerry and Gore look good.
