University president sacked for opposing opening of Muslim high school
Alain Morvan, head of the Lyon Academy, had opposed the opening of the Al-Kindi's school in the region for which he was responsible. At the time, he had said those responsible for the project were "extremists", and that he wanted to fight "to the end in the interest of children".
Alain Morvan has been fired notably for "commenting judicial decisions" that allowed the school to open. He's no longer the head of the Lyon Academy.
