Communism is still fun in France

Regularly, we are "blessed" with the creations of some nostalgic, leftist advertising agencies, who seem to try to recreate and - why not? - resuscitate the missed workers' "paradise" that was the USSR.

Here's what Perrier came up with:

PERRIER FLUO

Let's remix everything
It tastes good
East West
Lychee Zest
Let's mix everything
It tastes good
[Spoken]The shock of the fruits' savor
The force of the bubbles
[Banner] Perrier Fluo
It's good, it's crazy

Of course, the leftist favorite icon is never forgotten. Here are some "Revolution pens".

A little more than 2 years ago, national railway company SNCF had already thought it appropriate to promote its Thalys special "youth rate for everyone" with Soviet-like images and sound.

Young, less young, all equals

Click to start:

Friends can you hear this?
The call sent for you
With the Thalys train
Let's travel on a discount
The youth rate for everyone
For us, it is today
Because you're never too old to travel

Friends, hurry up
Friends, free yourselves
Equality before prices
For us, it is today

Thalys creates the youth-rate for everyone...

Some might think this is funny. It could indeed be a way of mocking communism, but it's not. One imagines if nazism was used in the same way. For some reason, communism is fun and, at times, still, a model to follow.

The (official) left and hard-left in France may have lost the elections, communism still is a sexy argument to get clients over here.

P.S.: Oh, I forgot to mention recent, public TV production "Comrades" ("Follow twenty years of commitment and friendship through the life of six friends, from the Liberation to May 68").

Can't imagine even Perrier would be stupid enough to use this as an ad campaign in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and the other former countries once held in the iron grip of the Soviet Union.

These advertisers know which group of sheeple will accept this tripe.

I'm guessing it's the same company that came out with a drink called "Pschtt!"
