Pave: Bonjour ! Neuvième jour de grève

Le jour 191 de Sarko

Today is Thanksgiving in America, a day when Americans offer thanks for their own and America's blessings.

In France, today is another day for complaining about the dangers, defects, and injustice of the French state.

FRENCH TRANSPORT STRIKE IN 9TH DAY AS TALKS CONTINUE

November 22, 2007 (Bloomberg) - French transport unions extended their strike for a ninth day, the longest stoppage in more than a decade, disrupting train and bus services as talks began with management and the government.

"Regional union members now have to decide whether they want to return to work but, as you can see, quite a lot have gone back already," Jean-Daniel Bigarne, UNSA union secretary general for the railway division, said in an interview.

Oh, Greg, where to start?

No, we do not post on Hollywood strikes. Pave is a blog that mocks France. We point this out because it has escaped you. Hope that clears up your confusion.

A tip on posting URLs, you'll want to post the whole thing, not one abbreviated with an ellipsis. Alas, your URL is useless.

And finally, what is the point of your "crap" remarks? Let's see, you probably mean to suggest French cultural sophistication. But "No more Hollywood Crap Movies to export" refers to an export, that is a product destined for a profitable market. So you are asking are there no more "Hollywood Crap Movies" to be sent to the ready and lucrative market in France. [Pause.] You need not worry. Hollywood will keep France stocked with "Crap Movies" -- to the delight of French audiences.
