Justice, of course, has not yet arrived. She plods along while Then-Jack, Now Ex-Jack skips ahead.

Then-Jack, Now Ex-Jack's game all along has been to play out the clock, to frustrate the prosecution with the stall of presidential immunity. But, to play that game one must be in possession of the ball, or, in Then-Jack's case, the presidency. [Pause.] Perseverant justice slowly gains on Then-Jack, Now Ex-Jack's skip.
