Merry Christmas 2007

I am spending this Christmas in Brussels, capital of Zeropa.

On this occasion, I would like to make a toast: to you and your families, to America, I wish a Merry Christmas, full of joy and light.

But this toast, I insist on making it with a Belgian beer, a beer that is not for girlie men, a very good, strong, red-amber ale: The Bush de Noel.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Brewed exceptionally for the Christmas period, Bush de Noel is a brilliant, red-amber ale that will delight the most demanding connoisseurs.

~~~
This Christmas beer was created by Hugues Dubuisson in 1991.
It is brewed in limited quantities and rates at 12% alcohol.
The beer is amber-red due to the use of caramel malt in large quantities.
This is a sweet beer with a pleasant flavour of hops. Indeed, for Bush de Noël, the brewer uses a traditional process which consists in placing hops flowers in the vats where the beer rests for four to six weeks by which time it will have reached full maturity, giving it a very distinctive taste.
