WHO KILLED 4 FRENCH TOURISTS

NOUAKCHOTT, Mauritania December 25, 2007 (IHT/AP) - Mauritanian prosecutors called the brutal Christmas Eve slaying of four French tourists a terrorist act and said Tuesday that security forces were hunting three suspects who they said belonged to a regional al-Qaida-linked terror network.

Such violence is rare in Mauritania, a relatively stable democracy in northwestern Africa perched on the far western rim of the Sahara desert.

"The family had come from France for a vacation in Mauritania. The government of Mauritania has presented its condolences to France's government," Babah Ould Sidi Abdalla, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said Monday.

Islamite terrorists are no respecters of Christian holy days. Or anybody's holy days. Everyday is a good day to murder the kaffir, the infidel. The above family was murdered while having a roadside picnic. Easy pickings.
