THEN-MAYOR JACK, SCOFFLAW
Over the Stile, Above The Law (And Here And Here)

PARIS, sometime in the 1980s: Frisky Then-Mayor Jack implements a new austerity practice for municipal employees, fare jumping. The Mayor's office calculates fare jumping could reduce public employee transport allowances by tens of thousands of francs -- as well as an incalculable calisthenic benefit from the stile hop. Fines on the less nimble caught by the Metro police (who have been alerted) are thought to bring additional municipal revenue of hundreds of thousands of francs.

Then-Mayor Jack (1977−1995) went on to be two-term Then-President Jack (1995-2007), Now Ex-Jack.

And in the same time, in a far away country :

Zebu. [Pause.] Are there no more French named Pierre or Marianne?

Well, M./Mlle. Zebu, what is your point?

Keith Obermann is a sportscaster. [Pause.] And, obviously, a very excitable lefty. Perhaps this is his appeal for you. Or perhaps Mr. Obermann could be anyone -- any sportscaster -- defaming the president, that would do it for you.

What does any of this have to do with Jack, le magouilleur? Well, of course, nothing. You are just too shamed to comment on Jack. He is, obviously, too much of an embarrassment. The burning ignominy. [Pause.] That's all right. We understand.
