HARRY REID'S MITT ROMNEY TAX SOURCE
A REPUBLICAN, SAYS TOP AIDE

WASHINGTON August 9, 2012 (HuffPo) - A top aide to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) provided new details Wednesday on the identity of Reid's source for the claim that Mitt Romney did not pay taxes for 10 years. Romney has since called on Reid to release the name of the source.

"This person is an investor in Bain Capital, a Republican also, and somebody who has been dealing with Romney's company for a long, long time and he has direct knowledge of this," said Reid aide Jose Parra, referring to Romney's tax returns.

[Abrupt needle scratch.]

UPDATE: 7:08 p.m.: Parra now says he doesn't know whether Reid's source is Republican. In an email to HuffPost, he wrote:

I do not know the party affiliation of the source, how long he invested with Bain, or his relationship to Romney beyond the fact that he was an investor with Bain Capital, as Senator Reid has previously stated.

Other than these amendments, Mr. Parra stands by his original unsubstantiated statement, which is also Mr. Reid's unsubstantiated statement.

NEW URBAN DICTIONARY ENTRY PEGS
HARRY REID AS CHILD MOLESTER

August 8, 2012 (TDC) - The Urban Dictionary, an fast-evolving online lexicon that promotes itself as “the dictionary you wrote,” has added a new definition of Reid that seems calculated to respond to the Nevada senator’s recent claims about Romney’s alleged federal income tax evasion.

"Harry Reid", the dictionary now says, is defined as "[a]n unofficial rap sheet of alleged pederasty and sexual abuse of minors by anonymous sources that may not exist."

The definition emerged, the dictionary notes, "after an explosion of reports surfaced online and on the airwaves, that [Reid] is a serial pederast. The outlets reporting the allegations all protected the anonymity of their sources, and no one knows if the allegations are true, but they’re out there. A spokesperson for Reid declined to deny them."

Of course someone does know, and that person is Harry Reid. We call on Mr. Reid to stop hiding behind declining aides and face his anonymous accusers.
